A blog about the complicated, frustrating, occasionally very rewarding business of trying to keep going as a creative person, in a world not always friendly towards the creative fire.
Graduated from art school in 2000 & have been keeping going creatively ever since - although sometimes by my bootstraps. I write fiction & poetry (& this). I draw & paint, & I cook, & I travel as often as I can. I know the world is not always friendly or conducive to the creative life or to the open heart, so I'm just working on keeping my inner fire alight, hoping that people like me can all help keep the bigger light burning too. May we all have the good fortune to enjoy health, happiness & creative fulfilment!
...one more picture from Crete before I get back to reality (which has been rather hectic over the last two and a half weeks).
This isn't the best picture I've taken of Mt Psiloritis, from the sea or otherwise, but it's the only one I've got in an electronic form. It's too hazy, and I'm not quite sure the coastline in the foreground is in focus. But it's still so evocative...
