Well, I'm not, actually, as I'm still at work - but I will be going back to it when I get home. A new book:
"Conway's The War at Sea, 1939 - 1945"
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Conways-War-Sea-Photographs-1939-1945/dp/1844860450
It's fantastic, a concise, clear history of the second world war with a strong emphasis on the naval side, some astonishing illustrations, and one or two bits (eg the account of Operation Pedestal) that have reduced me to tears.
Oh, and my elder brother is the co-author. I am so proud of him! One of the family at least has made it into print; and worthily so. Even if he is pissed-off about some of the layout work.

Definitely something to be proud of!
Yeah, we've sold quite a few at the War museum. And when I worked in the history section at Waterstones in Manchester. Does he make money from it?
He made a fair amount at first, which was pleasing as it is, frankly, a bit of a specialist read, but royalties have slackened off badly lately. Last month he saw it in a remainders bookshop and went into a bit of a decline... It's taken me months to wangle one of his six complimentary copies out of him, but I'm glad I stuck at it.
